International Teacher Exchange Services Receives Federal Designation

International Teacher Exchange Services (ITES), an international teacher recruitment and placement services company, announced today its official designation by the United States Department of State which authorizes the company to sponsor highly qualified international educators to teach in the United States as part of the Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Exchange Visitor Program.

This designation marks the official launch of the company’s Teacher Exchange Program. With the ITES Program, highly qualified teachers can teach in K-12 schools in the United States for up to 3 years. ITES teachers will then return to their home countries, to share their experiences of U.S. culture as well as American teaching best practices in their classrooms.

“We are delighted to receive this designation, and we are looking forward to welcoming our first group of teachers to the United States this fall,” said Rory McNicholas, president and founder of ITES. “Our teachers will teach a variety of grades and subjects including hard-to-fill positions such as math, science, foreign language and special education. It’s exciting to bring the world directly to our students at a time when so much emphasis is placed on preparing our children to be a part of the global economy. We anticipate that the cultural exchange aspect of our program will reach far beyond the classroom and into the wider communities in which our teachers will live and work.”
